Rustaveli National Theatre categorically disassociates itself from any violence! From the first day of the demonstrations, all the performances and events were canceled, the doors of the theatre were open 24 hours a day for the demonstrators. Other employees of the theatre were helping the security, so that the young people would not get injured. Although material damage was done to the theatre building during the current events, we thank everyone who showed high civic self-awareness and avoided the greater negative consequences. Yesterday, it was reported that tear gas canisters were fired at young people from the roof of the theatre building (It is impossible to walk there due to the construction of the building). We declare with full responsibility that this is a lie! In such an emotional background, such slander can have irreparable consequences! Therefore, please do not follow this fake information! Rustaveli National Theatre has always stood by its homeland and the Georgian people!

Due to the situation in the country, all performances scheduled until December 12 at the Rustaveli National Theatre have been cancelled. Tickets purchased at the theatre box office can be returned (please note that the box office will be open from December 5) the tickets purchased on biletebi.ge will be automatically reimbursed to your bank account!
